Tsutomu Ochiai, owner-chef of the Italian restaurant "La Bettola da Ochiai" in Ginza, Tokyo, visited Nobeoka City from November 10th to 12th to inspect local ingredients and their producers. A buyer who primarily operates in Tokyo accompanied him on this visit, and business negotiations were held on-site in addition to the inspection.
In addition, an exchange of opinions was held with the chef members of the council. During the meeting, Chef Ochiai showed interest in the local ingredients used, and the session was lively, with Chef Ochiai also offering advice in response to questions from the chefs.
This council will continue to work on initiatives that make the most of our city's appealing food culture.
