What is the East Kyushu Basqueization Plan?

Home to San Sebastian, said to be the best gourmet city in the world, it is based on the Basque region that straddles France and Spain, and boasts the first and second largest area in Kyushu, enjoying the rich blessings of the sea, mountains, and rivers. Nobeoka City and Saeki City have been working until 2021 with the aim of forming a new economic and cultural zone with the keywords of "food" and "cooperation."
We will continue to communicate the appeal of the city's food, which has been refined through past efforts, both within and outside the prefecture, and will work to deepen collaboration between the city's chefs and producers, with the aim of becoming Beoka, the city of gourmet food.
